Adelaide City Council passes conversion practices motion

Tonight the Adelaide City Council unanimously passed a motion calling on the South Australian Government to ban conversion practices.

The motion will see the Lord Mayor Dr Jane Lomax-Smith write to the Premier Peter Malinauskas, Attorney-General Kyam Maher and Minister Nat Cook urging the government to progress a ban on LGBTIQA+ conversion therapy practices in South Australia.

Thanks to Councillor Keiran Snape, South Ward, for moving the motion and Councillor David Elliott, Central Ward, for seconding.
