The South Australian Rainbow Advocacy Alliance (SARAA) is providing opportunities for South Australian LGBTIQ+ advocates to attend the Better Together 2021 LGBTIQ+ conference.
What is Better Together?
The Better Together Conference, hosted by The Equality Project, exists to facilitate a conversation about LGBTIQ+ rights in Australia and provide a platform to share ideas and experiences and build bridges between our diverse communities.
The Conference will be held on June 18 and 19 2021 at Adelaide Convention Centre.
For more information about Better Together 2021 visit www.theequalityproject.org.au/better-together-conference-2021.
What support is SARAA providing?
SARAA will provide scholarships for South Australian LGBTIQ+ people who wish to attend the conference but would struggle without financial help.
Successful applicants will receive a ticket to the Better Together 2021 conference. SARAA will make payments for your ticket directly to The Equality Project.
Financial support for attendees from regional South Australia is also available to assist with travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the conference. SARAA may also provide assistance with travel costs to people with a specific need. More information below.
SARAA won't fund other costs, for example reimbursement for time off of work, or costs unrelated to the conference.
This support is made possible by the Department of Human Services, Government of South Australian.
How do I apply?
To apply for a scholarship, please answer the short questions in this form.
Please note that applications will be accepted from South Australians only.
If you need help applying, or need to apply in a different format (like an Auslan video), please email SARAA’s Project Officer, Kelly Vincent, on email@example.com or call or text 0434 231 698.
