South Australia’s Outcomes Framework for Children and Young People aims to help our youngest citizens to start well, grow strong and experience a good life. By reporting data we can all see where efforts are needed to improve outcomes.
The Child Development Council recently conducted the First Review of the Framework.
SARAA prepared a submission to support the Child Development Council to measure outcomes for LGBTIQA+ children and young people who experience significantly poorer mental health outcomes than the general population.
This review presents an opportunity to acknowledge LGBTIQA+ children and young people as a priority cohort and to update the Framework to adequately measure progress towards improving their development and wellbeing.
