Following years of community advocacy, SA Police have launched the revised LGBTIQA+ Liaison Officer (LLO) Network and Pride at SAPOL – LGBTIQA+ Strategy 2025-2030.
The Network and Strategy commit to respectful engagement and inclusive policing for LGBTIQA+ South Australians.
SA Rainbow Advocacy Alliance welcome the announcement in the face of rising hate and discrimination targeting LGBTIQA+ communities. Speaking with InDaily, SARAA CEO Varo stated:
“LGBTQ+ Australians are facing really significant levels of hate, abuse and violence at the moment. We need those trained officers who understand the issues that LGBTQ+ Australians are facing.”
