Rainbow Council Network

SARAA invites registrations from South Australian Local Governments to register a Councilor and a council staff member per local council to join the Rainbow Council Network.

We strongly encourage people with LGBTIQA+ lived experience, those with a diverse background and people working in the area of diversity, inclusion, well-being or community engagement.

The group will be a source of networking, sharing ideas and lessons, and to improve engagement with the LGBTIQA+ community. Together we will work to improve connectedness, health and wellbeing of the rainbow community.

SA Rainbow Advocacy Alliance (SARAA) would like to thank the many councils across South Australia that have raised a rainbow flag during LGBTIQA+ days of significance including during the Feast Festival (or Pridevember), especially those councils that have included this as an ongoing annual occurrence in their policies.  We would also like to acknowledge councils that have taken active steps to engage with the LGBTIQA+ community through grants, projects, policy and events, it is much appreciated by our community.
